7. Security
a) The User agrees not to make available the User’s username and/or password to anyone. Online digital resources

Education Umbrella promotes and sells Online Digital Resources that are hosted by a third-party publisher on that publisher's website. In promoting Online Digital Resources, Education Umbrella is acting as an agent for the third-party publisher and is providing the purchaser with the necessary information to access and use that publisher's product after purchase. To access and use an Online Digital Resource either you will need to use a redemption code provided by us after purchase, or you will need to use a username and password (chosen by you) which we will pass on securely to the third-party publisher.

When you purchase an Online Digital Resource from Education Umbrella, we will pass some information to the relevant publisher. This allows you to access the resource on that publisher's website and to receive ongoing customer support (if needed) from that publisher. The information we will pass to the relevant publisher is specific to the purchase of each Online Digital Resource product and is: (1) the length of the subscription, (2) the product description, (3) the price paid to Education Umbrella for that product, and (4) the name of the school or individual making the purchase, and (5) (where applicable) the username and password chosen by you to access that resource.

Once you have purchased an Online Digital Resource from Education Umbrella, we bear no responsibility for the relationship between you and the third-party publisher/supplier of the product. Education Umbrella is not responsible for the performance of the product on the third-party publisher's website, or for the level of customer service that publisher provides.
These are our terms for our Online Digital Resources (ODRs). Once you buy an ODR from us, you access it through the publisher's website (not ours), and the publisher is responsible to you for the content and performance of the ODR.

Eureka loyalty scheme

Eureka is our loyalty scheme which rewards centralised school purchasing with increased buying power for educational resources. Eureka is free to join and easy to use.

How does eureka work?

When you buy educational resources from us, we will reward your purchase with eureka points. We will convert your eureka points into credits so your school can buy more great books, TECbooks or digital resources through Education Umbrella. The more resources bought by your school, the greater the points earned and the bigger the reward.

How do I receive my eureka points?

At the end of each eureka period (roughly coinciding with a term) your school's eureka administrator (usually a finance officer) will receive a statement showing how much the school has spent and how many eureka points have been earned as a result. We will convert all your Eureka points into a credit attached to your account, which your school may use whenever it likes.

How many eureka points will my purchase earn?

Each £1 spent will earn 1 eureka point. From time to time Education Umbrella will run promotions that will allow you to earn more eureka points for each £1 spent.

How much is a eureka point worth?

One eureka point is worth 1 penny.

When can I use my eureka points?

You may use eureka points to pay (in full or in part) any invoices which you receive after the start of a new eureka period. Eureka points may not be used to pay invoices from a previous eureka period.

Eureka periods

Period one: 1st January - 30th April

Period two: 1st May - 31st August

Period three: 1st September - 31st December

Education Umbrella reserves the right to remove any discount or loyalty bonus listed on an invoice if payment is not received within the stated payment terms.

This tells you about eureka, our loyalty scheme. With eureka, every time you buy something from Education Umbrella, you can earn extra buying power for your school to spend on more great educational resources.
