Little Readers' Day Out


Story telling, rhymetime, visits from Peppa and 500 happy faces.

On Saturday 28th June, Routes to Reading was officially launched with the first ever Little Readers' Day Out in the At-Bristol science centre. Here are some of the highlights of the day.

Authors Paul Stickland, Jan Dobbins and Michelle Robinson and rhymetime performer Esther led sessions for over 180 children throughout the day.

Illustrators Michelle Warburton and Lauren Tobia inspired big and small budding artists in all day arts and crafts sessions.

We were pleased to see our little readers Isaac and Anaiya meeting special guests Gromit and Peppa Pig.

Many little readers enjoyed cupcakes and these wonderful bear hunt ears!

With a great selection of books in every area of the event, there really was a book for everyone!

And finally, well done to everyone who won goody bags in our competitions, we were delighted to be able to give away bags, books, t-shirts, stickers and posters with the help of publishers.
