PG Online, the history:

PG Online is an award-winning publishing company founded in 2013 by Robert Heathcote, created to fill the perceived lack of comprehensive, affordable resources for teachers of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Robert was involved in setting up Payne-Gallway Publishers in 1998, created to publish Computing and Information Technology textbooks, initially specialising in A level books but eventually publishing popular and useful textbooks for all levels from Key Stage 2 upwards. This very successful company was sold to Harcourt in 2005, and subsequently to Pearson Education.

*What are Digital Inspection Books? - DIBs for short!

Our Digital Inspection Books Service is growing all the time, covering a range of subjects and top publishers. If you haven't come across DIBs yet, take a look at what you should know:

  • DIBs are an instant way to get access to an inspection copy. No need to wait for delivery or spend time returning a book if you don't want it.
  • If there is a DIB available for a title you'll see a "Request Digital Inspection Book" button in the product's full details. Sign in or register on the site and click the button to get a copy of your chosen title.
  • You'll get instant access in your browser, as well as an email with the link to view it at any time during the inspection period.
  • There will be a minimum of seven days access to your chosen title (dependent on publisher).
  • You can forward your email to other colleagues and they can access your DIB as well!
  • DIBs are not just available on our TECbook editions, you'll also be able to see digital copies of physical books.
