    Giovanni Bottesini.jpg

This lesson plan uses material from the new KS2 science curriculum to teach pupils about the varying properties of sound. Pupils investigate how altering a sound source can change the pitch and volume of the sound produced. The lesson involves some noisy activities to help reinforce learning. It may be preceded by Sound: How we hear things.

    Pupils will learn:

    • There are ways to make a source produce a higher or lower pitched sound
    • There are ways to make a source produce a louder or quieter sound
