    Year 1 Plants: Deciduous and Evergreen Trees

    In this lesson, pupils learn about how some trees look the same all through the year while other trees undergo changes, including losing their leaves for winter. Pupils compare different plants, using leaves collected from their local environment. This lesson may be preceded by Plants: Describing Plants.

    Pupils will learn:

    • That plants change their appearance over time.
    • To compare and group different types of plants.
