    Year 5 Forces: Resistance

    This lesson develops pupils' understanding of how forces affect the motion of objects through 3 different competitive activities. Pupils study types of resistive forces: air resistance, water resistance and friction. This lesson is best preceded by Forces: Falling and may be followed by Forces: Building machines.

    Pupils will learn:

    • How air resistance affects the motion of objects
    • How water resistance affects the motion of objects
    • How friction affects the motion of objects
