    Year 6 Electricity: Testing circuits

In accordance with the new KS2 science curriculum, pupils in Year 6 return to the topic of electricity. In this lesson, pupils experiment with changes to circuits and act out a noisy human representation of different kinds of circuits. This may be followed by Electricity: Circuit symbols.

    Pupils will learn:

    • How the brightness of lamp or volume of buzzer corresponds with the number of cells
    • How components vary, including brightness of bulb, loudness of buzzers and position of switches.
