    Year 4 Electricity: Different circuits

    This lesson develops pupils' understanding of electricity and circuits, using material from the new KS2 science curriculum. Through experimentation, pupils learn how switches work and about the effect of adding extra bulbs or batteries to circuits. This lesson may be preceded by Electricity: Using Electricity.

    Pupils will learn:

    • How to tell whether or not a simple circuit is complete
    • How to use switches and other components in simple circuits
    • The effect of changing the number of components in a circuit
