    Year 2 Animals, including humans: Human needs

    In this lesson, pupils pack a rucksack with essentials for a journey into space. They learn about what is essential and what is important for human and other animal life, use what they leanr to suggest how they could improve their own health, read through doctor's notes and give advice to patients. This lesson may be preceded by Animals, including humans: Birth and growth.

    Pupils will learn:

    • To describe the basic needs of animals for survival.
    • To describe the importance for humans of exercise, nutrition and hygiene.
