    Year 4 Animals, including humans: Food Chains

    According to the new KS2 national curriculum, pupils in Year 4 learn how to construct food chains. In this lesson, pupils study the teeth of different animals, try to determine whether they are carnivores or herbivores and create and act out their own food chains. This lesson may be preceded by Animals, including humans: The Digestive System and Animals, including humans: Me and my teeth.

    Pupils will learn:

    • How to construct and interpret food chains, identifying producers, predators and prey.
